Ball Corporation Printer Team Leader in 6th October, Egypt

Job Summary :

Managing, and leading the printing area team to work in a safe, clean environment and achieve the shift and area KPIs.

Duties, Task & responsibility:

Production

  1. Inspects and examines printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects.

  2. Schedule routine production functions, as well as special production needs

  3. Lead the production printing team, mentor and motivateteam members, ensuring individuals are follow the GMP , Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).

  4. Implement Lean/kaizen manufacturing practices, maintain

Housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace

  1. Positively participate in different meetings of the shift, also the printing area team meeting, and participate in implementation of the assigned activity from those meetings.

  2. Lead his team to achieve and control the production KPIs.

  3. Monitors feeding, printing, and racking processes of presses to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary keeping control the quality of the product and run the machine defect free product.

  4. Control and analyze the downtime, suggest proper action to reduce it.

  5. Report production issues to shift manager, and participate in analyzing the problems using problem-solving tools to solve the problems efficiently

  6. Efficient utilization of printing raw materials (ink material, printing plate, cleaning material) and record the usage format of this material and report this usage to the other relevant departments

  7. Train and improve the skills of his team.

  8. Deliver and communicate all data from the management team, area team to his colleagues and vice versa. Complete all shift reports and follow up all team paper work requests from him or his subordinates

  9. Professional background forSet up form rollers, plate registrations, over varnish, a pressure plate on cylinders, spindle to blanket, ink fountains for ink flow, etc.

  10. Communicate effectively with his colleagues in the shift and with team leaders in other shifts to achieve shift KPIs.

  11. To work closely with other Shift Supervisors to ensure production handovers are effective communication tools

  12. Other duties as assigned

Safety

  1. Ensure the safe working environment for his team as Ball standard.

  2. Achieve the targets of safety (near misses, safety projects, safety trainings,...etc.)

  3. Report safety issues to management.

Housekeeping

  1. Review the housekeeping form implementation.

  2. Report and fix any source of waste that will affect the housekeeping.

Authorities:

Team leader take full responsibility of his team, scheduling work tasks and assign work load to his team, Arrange vacations for his team. Evaluate his team performance with the shift supervisor and take proper actions with his team member according to different situation.

Standers of Performance (KPIs)

  1. Deliver the KPIs of his area.

  2. Reporting to shift manager.

  3. Keep the area run in high performance.

Chain of command:

  1. Report to shift manager.

  2. Supervise printing team &cleaner area.

  3. Cooperate with other TLs in the shift.

Job context :

  1. His tools ( mechanical tools Computer documents)

  2. He works on the basis of 8 hrs. And may work extended hours on occasions when required.

Knowledge:

  1. Technical high school study. Printing study is preferred

  2. Computer skills.

  3. A skill to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. strong understanding of installing and adjusting printing plates,

Skills:

  1. English language.

  2. Communication skills.

  3. Leadership skills.
