Overview

SOSi is seeking a Cook for a potential contract located on Camp Taji, Iraq.

Essential Job Duties

• Meets or exceeds industry and food safety standards for preparation, storage, and serving of food.

• Prepares, seasons, and cooks meals in accordance with standardized recipes.

• Follows daily production schedules and progressively cook food in batches according to schedule.

• Carves and trims meats such as beef, veal, ham, pork, and lamb for recipes.

• Records food temperatures, production, and waste on required documentation.

• Ensures high standards of personal hygiene and that work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.

• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum one (1) year of experience in full service or institutional food service environment.

• Excellent English communication skills and ability to interact effectively with customers and other personnel.

• Knowledge of food service and sanitation standards.

• Excellent knife skills for food preparation.

• Ability to consistently arrive punctually and contribute to positive dining atmosphere.

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Work Environment

• Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable at times.

• Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.

• Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary.

• May require ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
