Overview:

The Capability Manager - Funds Transfer Pricing Manager (FTP) will be responsible for managing the transformation around governance, methodology and support of Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) within ProjectRISE. They will be responsible for the following:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Drive execution of key strategic initiatives pertaining to Funds Transfer Pricing.

• Drive end-to-end implementation of FTP principles.

• Enhance FTP framework which will include target operating model, policies & procedures, governance, methodology, and implementation.

• Drive business engagement and develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders to understand the end-to-end process of transactions, continuously identify risks, and design solutions that mitigate them.

• Drive business engagement to timely update upcoming FTP related changes, address any deficiencies, and provide transparency to cost and benefit allocation.

• Develop a deep understanding of data and technology infrastructure for funds transfer pricing and risk frameworks’ processes in actuals and forecast, in partnership with Treasury and broader Finance functions. Ability to automate processes and work with technology to implement solutions.

• Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

• Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of

10 years’ proven marketing, product management, financial, operations and/or project management experience,

OR in lieu of a degree,

A combined minimum of 14 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 10 years’ proven marketing, product management, financial, operations and/or project management experience.

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Experience working in financial industry in Corporate Treasury, Finance, or Risk departments – prior experience in Liquidity & Funding/ALM/Balance Sheet Management/FTP is preferred

• Strong attention to detail and ability to independently work across functional groups inclusive of front/middle/back-office functions;

• Excellent writing skills, previous experience in drafting policies or procedures is highly preferred;

• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills;

• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, along with ability to quickly learn new programs and applications;

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, computer science or related field, Master’s degree preferred

• MBA/CFA/FRM/CPA or other professional qualification preferred
