AutoZone, Inc. Distribution Center Loss Prevention Manager in Chowchilla, California

SUMMARY:

Manages the Loss Prevention respon sibilities in multiple distribution centers including inventory shrink, gain and non-inventory loss prevention, operational compliance, investigations, and physical security. Trains DC personnel on proper Loss Prevention procedures and identification of common shrink indicators. Ensures compliance with AutoZone policies and implements operational procedures and controls to eliminate or mitigate shrink possibilities. Utilizes business intelligence tools for applying analytics to identify and resolve causes of shrink/loss in the distribution centers. Detects and resolves internal theft, workplace violence and integrity issues and conducts investigations, utilizing proper interview and case management protocol. Reports, records and follows up on required inventories and audits and facilitates improvement action plans as appropriate. Supervises security officers including physical security training, maintaining proper staffing, scheduling, and performance management. Assists Regional Loss Prevention Managers and District Managers in store investigations and shrink related issues. Maintains effective relationships with Supply Chain business partners as well as upstream and downstream customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures Loss Prevention policies and procedures are implemented and monitored by the management teams at multiple DC's.

  • Implements operational procedures intended to eliminate shrink possibilities(controls) and develops solutions with the DC Manager and Director, Supply Chain LP.

  • Reports, records and follows up on required LP audits according to policy. Assist DC Management in the development of action plans immediately following if deficiencies are found.

  • Train DC personnel at both DC's on proper Loss Prevention and physical security procedures and identification of common shrink indicators.

  • Detects and resolves internal theft incidents.

  • Reports incidents to the DC manager and Director, Supply Chain LP to resolve and reduce the number of incidents.

  • Assist in physical inventory preparation, DC Cycle Count program and training. Completes physical inventory and/or cycle count program internal audit requirements annually, research results and develops and facilitates action plans immediately following if issues are found.

  • Security Officer supervision to include physical security training, maintaining proper staffing, time clock management, vacation and time off scheduling, performance appraisal review and performance management.

    Preferred Qualifications for this position include:

    *Five to seven years’ experience in Loss Prevention

    *Interview / Interrogation certification

    • CFE, CFI, LPQ or CPP certifications

    *Advanced knowledge in MS Office Suite Products

    *Strong leadership skills, with the ability to successfully oversee and manage multiple projects

    Travel Required- Approximately 35%-50%
