The Athletics Department has a great opportunity for a Football Nutrition Services Coordinator - Temporary to work at the Coral Gables Campus.

  • Actively participate as a member of the University of Miami Sports Nutrition staff

  • Oversee the daily operations and logistics, as they relate to football

  • Work in collaboration with the Lead in football nutrition, to oversee meal ordering and menu development

  • Work in collaboration with the Lead in football nutrition, to oversee the budget

  • Work in collaboration with the Lead in football nutrition, to submit expense reports

  • Work in collaboration with the Lead in football nutrition, to procure vendors and to maintain relationships/communications with the vendors

  • Manage and supervise all aspects of operations of Nutrition Center and assigned Fueling Stations including managing student-volunteers/interns/work study, product inventory, ordering, receiving, and distribution

  • Maintain effective communication with coaching staff, athletic trainers, strength staff and other individuals from the Athletic Department on any nutrition related matter.

  • Serve our student-athletes with a positive, welcoming, and committed attitude.

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the sports dietitian

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in clinical nutrition, dietetics, food and nutrition or a related area

  • Ability to work a non-standard work week which may include nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and complete work tasks with minimal direction

  • Knowledge of sports nutrition and food service management

  • Ability to be punctual, enthusiastic, and self-motivated

  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Canva

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
