Here’s the Gist:

Wolfspeed’s NC Fab Team is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer for the Metrology area. This person will be responsible for performing equipment start-up, modifications, upgrades, troubleshooting and maintenance on production and R&D systems. This role will interact directly with process engineering, R&D, field service engineers and other groups to meet Wolfspeed goals. This person will be responsible for a diverse mixture of activities with a strong emphasis on hands-on mechanical assembly and electrical work.

This is an 8-hour day, 5 day a week position, working one weekend day.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Responsible for sustaining engineering and continuous improvement initiatives on high volume semiconductor manufacturing tools.
  • Create and maintain PM and maintenance procedures, training materials and technician qualification procedures
  • Interface with Process Engineering, Manufacturing and Management to improve tool availability, wafer throughput, process/product yield, and drive scrap and maintenance cost reductions
  • Mentor technical maintenance staff on advanced troubleshooting techniques
  • Provide top level support of extended or chronic tool down issues
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • BS in a technical field
  • 5+ years of semiconductor Equipment Engineering experience
  • Strong background in equipment maintenance or engineering with experience in photolithography and/or metrology
