Eaton Corporation Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager in El Paso, Texas

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager. This position is located at our site in El Paso, TX.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $120075.03 - $176110.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Position Overview:

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for the design, development, and validation of new equipment and manufacturing processes of the operation. This role will also be responsible for process safety, process quality, product cost, tooling cost, NPIs and process development.

This individual will coordinate and manage manufacturing and maintenance engineering activities in operation areas to support existing production lines, Design and implementation of new production lines for new product development, product transfers, CAPEX administration, design, selection and implementation of new equipment to support growth, productivity and infrastructure projects, test engineering managing and industrial engineering coordinator, I 4.0 deployment across the facility and equipment & building maintenance infrastructure, lean manufacturing and EQS deployment, MESH initiatives, and product and quality cost improvements.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the manufacturing engineering group to coordinate the different projects to support the different initiatives

  • Responsible for process safety, process quality, product cost, tooling cost, NPIs and process development.

  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers.

  • Direct people management including staffing and performance development.

  • Propose solutions to address complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.

  • Uses multiple sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

  • CAPEX management to achieve proper execution of each project that support growth, productivity and infrastructure projects.

  • Coordinate selection and design of machinery and equipment

  • Coordinate existing machinery, fabrication equipment, tooling, etc for safety, capacity, capability, effectiveness, etc. Develop detailed technical specifications for new equipment and manage capital projects.

  • Coordinate new production lines implementation to support growth

  • Coordinate and Manage manufacturing methods and machine or line loading to produce parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies for new products or customer orders requiring extensive planning consistent with overall division objectives. Plan all tooling such as jigs, fixtures, special tools, and similar items.

  • Coordinate the maintenance engineering group to achieve the excellence on the maintenance metrics by the implementation of different maintenance techniques.

  • Coordinate the building and infrastructure group to maintain and improve the building conditions to assure the continuity of the business and support new initiatives of the organization.

  • Coordinate the test engineering group to maintain and improve the test equipment conditions always follow the corporate direction of the high-quality standards.

  • Manage the Lean, Six Sigma, and Pro Launch through the creation of Process Maps, Standard Work, Takt Times, Potential Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Design of Experiments, Control Plans, and WRA’s for production lines.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field from an accredited institution

  • Five (5)+ years leading/managing manufacturing systems/process

  • Five (5)+ years management of people experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution

  • Training and Experience with Lean and Six Sigma Tools

  • Bilingual English / Spanish

  • Project management.
