Job Overview

Strategic Sourcing Analyst – We are looking for a strong Strategic Buyer to join the Aerospace, Defense & Marine North America Strategic Sourcing Team to support our growing business. Job responsibilities include:

• In this strategic role, you will be responsible for procurement management of assigned categories and suppliers to include supplier market analysis; raw material market tracking; understanding of part cost breakdown, negotiations, price tracking and changes, key contact for supplier escalations, assurance of material supply with the supply base, analytics and analysis of data, and supporting commodity managers as assigned.

• Responsible to Achieve KPI’s including material productivity, delivery, quality metrics, and supplier risk assessments; Ensure positive savings impact for assigned category with weekly management of trends and pricing issues.

• Perform market analysis to maintain a good knowledge of potential trends evolutions within the assigned portfolio (new players, new technologies, etc.).

• Perform supplier evaluations, including inspection plan development, monitoring supplier quality, delivery, and conformance to requirements.

• Responsible for contract management and Supply Agreements for assigned categories.

• Support and Develop a 3-5 year regional commodity plan for assigned categories – strategy, in accordance with the Global, Regional and Local needs and in alignment with the corporate commodity strategy.

• Work with the Regional Strategic Sourcing Manager, Global Commodity Managers, and BU's to issue RFQ's, negotiate, award, and update contracts within assigned commodities for the Americas region.

This position requires access to information that is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent residents, persons granted asylee status in the U.S., or persons admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.

What your background should look like:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Procurement, or Engineering related field.

• 3-5+ years of experience in procurement – category/commodity management, managing sourcing projects, strategic sourcing, fact-based negotiations, cost analysis, price breakdowns, and supplier and contract management

• Procurement analytical skills in: LPP analysis, Currency and Material analysis, Market analysis, Part Cost Breakdown analysis, RFQ analysis, etc.

• Experience in metals, molding, resins/chemicals market a plus

• Experience in contract negotiation, contract review, and contract management.

• Self-starter with Project Management experience and ability to drive action items and results

• Very Strong analytical and computer-skills; Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP procurement applications and Microsoft Office/Teams

• Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels

• Strong decision-making skills and critical thinking

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $105,760-158,6400 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
