This position is onsite- Fife, WA Position Summary: Provides for the overall direction and coordination of daily activities in manufacturing plants and their employees while ensuring activities are in accordance with compliance regulations, policies, principles, and procedures of the company. This position is responsible for all operations at the Northwest facilities and connected light asset facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leader of environmental, health, and safety culture to create a best-in-class employee experience while maintaining compliance with local, state, federal and company requirements.
  • Develops, implements, and executes strategic plan to exceed objectives while driving projects and activities supporting the sites' operational and financial goals.
  • Creates a collaborative and engaging environment ensuring career success through curiosity, learning and development while promoting Gibraltar Industries' vision, mission and values.
  • Directs production, scheduling, warehousing and shipping activities while maintaining a cost-effective operation.
  • Engages with team on SIOP process, providing insight to the Supply Chain team and ensuring that the Operation has the proper amount of raw materials and buy-out products to fulfill customer demand.
  • Responsibility for improvements in standard operational inefficiencies, safety, quality and working practices.
  • Sets maintenance standards to ensure machines and equipment perform at optimal utilization while maintaining machinery for maximum output.

``` - Analyzes production and distribution data to make informed decisions to exceed business requirements. - Develops and initiates plans for efficient use of materials, machines, trailers, and employees. - Acts as a change agent for continuous improvement opportunities utilizing data analysis, Lean methodologies & 6-Sigma concepts while empowering employees to own improvements. - Responsible for ensuring that the operation is in compliance with Federal, State, and local laws including but not limited to OSHA, DOT, and EPA agencies. Works closely with first line leaders in managing waste using the proper disposal contractors and working with the EPA to manage runoff of water from rain and keep it particulate free from harmful chemicals. ( Zinc etc.) - Establish and develop strong, positive working relationships with the union by following the terms of collective bargaining agreement and actively participating in negotiations ensuring right balance between customer, employee, and shareholder interests. - Present capital request justifications as needed to ensure operational efficiencies and business sustainability. - Effectively communicates with vendors, government agencies, management team, employees, and others for information and to resolve issues as needed. - Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Degree: Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics (or similar). Master's degree preferred. Years of Experience: Minimum 7 years (Military or Manufacturing / Distribution) Prefer experience in leading continuous improvement through Lean / LeanSS methodologies.
