Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Fort Lee, New Jersey

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in the industry of chemical distribution. This role is based at our office in Fort Lee, New Jersey. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be part of a team responsible for handling contracts for sales orders, maintaining our CRM and ERP systems, and providing excellent customer service primarily via email.

Responsibilities:

• Handle contracts for sales orders with utmost precision and professionalism.

• Utilize Microsoft Word for updating and managing contracts.

• Update and maintain the CRM and ERP systems with accurate and up-to-date information.

• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues via email in a timely and efficient manner.

• Collaborate with a team of around 7 other professionals, both in office and remote, to ensure smooth operations.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks as needed.

• Participate in phone interviews and in-person meetings as part of the recruitment process.

• Adapt to immediate needs of the role and be prepared to start duties on a specified date.

• Work within the office hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, ensuring all tasks are completed within this timeframe.

• Report to the sales department and contribute to the overall success of the team.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Customer Service

• Experience with CRM systems Requirements • Must possess excellent customer service skills and demonstrate a customer-centric approach.

• Proven experience in a customer service role is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms is a must.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

• Ability to handle and resolve customer issues in a timely manner.

• Should have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Should possess basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• A high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required.

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

• Flexibility to work in different shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Knowledge of customer service principles and best practices is preferred.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
