Honeywell Senior Manufacturing Excellence Engineer in Freeport, Illinois
The Sr. Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager leads, directs, and controls all activities concerning the development of manufacturing processes in support of new product development (NPD) programs to meet customer and business objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Manage and assist in the completion of the day-to-day activities, involving the maintenance of the building / facilities and equipment
Provide Engineering support of automated manufacturing production equipment for both upstream and downstream processes
Coordinates activities of process, manufacturing, test, and engineering staff and acts as a technical advisor to staff regarding tasks, projects and operations
Enforces adherence to company, manufacturing, and engineering policies, processes and procedures governing work assignments and participates in writing new business proposals
Partner with team of engineers to execute capital projects in support of a cGMP manufacturing facility, including Capital equipment specification and procurement
Interface with supplier and subcontractors for verification and validation of tooling requirements. Recommend disposition of supplier deliverables
Develop a sustainable capability to deliver cost productivity right across the business
Partner with leadership in supporting team feedback and engagement activities and talent development
Provide technical support to manufacturing, problem solving is a key requirement to resolve internal and external process issues maintaining our zero harm culture
Teach and mentor the simultaneous (cross functional new product development) engineering process
Drive continual process improvement activities with 5S, lean practices, eliminating waste, and improving efficiency
Lead/facilitate problem solving and cross functional teams to resolve product/process issues
Support and ensure compliance to ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management System
Oversee the implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
3 years or more of experience in a related role

Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done
Extensive relevant manufacturing engineering experience
Master's Degree or advanced professional certification
