Financial Accountant Senior

Location : This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT SENIOR is responsible for supporting the closing, reconciling, analysis and reporting of the general ledger.

How you will make an impact:

• Completes highly complex account reconciliation.

• Prepares internal and external monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and analysis.

• Verifies the integrity of monthly results by completing various analyses and interpreting the data.

• Prepares payment and remittance documentation for external vendors.

• Compiles and summarizes large volumes of accounting data for submission to internal partners

• Leads finance related projects to accomplish strategic directives

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 2 years previous accounting experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences :

• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.

• Previous work experience with month end close processes, account reconciliation and statutory accounting principles preferred

• 5 Years accounting experience preferred.

• BA/BS in accounting strongly preferred.

• Advanced level MS Excel skills strongly preferred.

• Communication/teamwork/collaboration strongly preferred.

• Experience working in insurance or healthcare industry a plus.
