A DAY IN THE LIFE

As a key member of the Corporate Accounting team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

  • Perform month-end and quarter-end general ledger closing duties, prepare journal entries, balance sheet, and income statement reconciliations, research, and analysis. Workloads will increase around the month-end close efforts.
  • Analyze various accounts and monthly activity for discrepancies, create clear and concise reconciliations and escalate issues to management.
  • Follow and enforce the Company\'s policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls, to ensure completeness and accuracy of the financial statements.
  • Collaborate with the Global Business Services team, Financial Planning & Analysis team, and other cross-functional departments as needed, to ensure completeness and accuracy of accrual and deferral accounts.
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audi ors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. Ensure all audit support is timely and accurate.
  • Assist with maintaining financial account records, reconciliations and rollforward schedules according to U.S. GAAP standards. This may include AR, contract assets (WIP), prepaids, lease assets and liabilities, fixed assets, payroll, intangible assets and goodwill, accrued expenses, health insurance and bad debt reserves, acquisition liabilities, debt and equity transactions and various rollforwards.
  • Provide the financial reporting team with 10Q/10K financial statement and footnote tie out support.
  • Contribute to a continuous effort and collaboration to improve accounting operations, reduce manual efforts through automation, and increase the efficiency the accounting functions and GL close processes.
  • Participate in various projects to drive significant process improvements.
  • Perform ad hoc duties and projects as needed.
