Lead Field Quality efforts for the Sourced Finished Goods (SFG) Quality team. Work directly with Sourced Product suppliers, Customer Relations, Field Service technicians, and GEA cross functional teams to improve the customer ownership experience and resolve field quality issues. Partner with Product Quality Managers (PQMs) to identify emerging quality trends and help reduce overall Cost of Quality (COQ).

How You'll Create Possibilities
Job Description –
Work directly with the Sourced Product PQMs to identify key drivers of Cost of Quality metrics (warranty, damage, concessions, customer education and installation) and generate project ideas to drive quality improvements
Manage the product and parts return process for the Sourced Products team and initiate process improvements to increase field returns
Work directly with Customer Relations teams to quickly resolve field quality issues and improve the overall ownership experience
Work directly with Field Technicians and the Service Parts team to fully understand field issues, investigate installation challenges, and remove obstacles in providing a world class ownership experience
Work directly with Distribution and Product Damage teams to identify key contributors to product damage and generate project ideas to reduce incidents
Coordinate with GEA warehouses, suppliers, and third party resources as needed to rework defective products, lead inspections, and ensure proper deviation procedures are followed
Support development of improved reports and analytical tools to help identify emerging quality trends and focus areas for Sourced Products team
Develop expertise in new field quality systems (such as Salesforce) and initiate processes to analyze and use system outputs
What you need to Succeed –
Minimum Qualifications
Engineering or Technical (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) degree or equivalent technical experience
Minimum 5 years work experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Engineering Technology, or Operations in a manufacturing or field service
Demonstrated problem solving and root cause analysis through the application of quality control tools
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive change
Analyzing large data sets to identify emerging issues and generate focused actions
Requires occasional travel domestically and internationally
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to lead and manage multiple projects concurrently within a team environment
Self-starter; takes the initiative to identify and implement new ideas
Demonstrated ability to independently develop, manage and implement aggressive project plans both globally and domestically
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within appliance industry in a technical, manufacturing or quality role
Experience working with customer relations teams and field service technicians
Experience working as part of a global team
Lean experience or Six Sigma certification
Proven ability to simplify complex information and concisely prepare executive summaries
Experience analyzing Field Quality data and use of field quality data systems (SAS, Salesforce, Oracle Agile)
