Anderson, Tackman & Company CPAs, a well-established, full-service accounting firm, seeks an Accounting Specialist *to join their team in *Marquette, Michigan. Applicants with previous accounts payable, deposits, and payroll processing experience preferred, however, we welcome all levels of experience and will train the right individual who demonstrates a desire to learn and grow with our team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Work with clients in preparing and processing payroll from start to finish including checks, reports, federal and state tax calculations, and submissions.
• Assist with processing accounts payable.
• Assist with revenue and receipts processing.
• Assist in preparing reports for management and clients.
• Develop ideas to assist clients with operational and control opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with the entire team on various projects and deadlines.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

• Your knowledge and experience matter most. A degree in Accounting, Business, or an industry related field is a bonus.
• Previous experience running accounts payable, accounts receivable and/or payroll from start to finish using software is helpful; experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel) is required.
• Ability to analyze problems through effective interaction and communication.
• Ability to work under time constraints to ensure deadlines are met.
• Ability to maintain and promote a positive attitude in the workplace and provide top-notch service to all clients and employees.
• Ability to identify business needs and jump in to assist, where needed.
