Tenneco Inc Maintenance Technician in Marshall, Michigan

JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician will support manufacturing operations by maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and professional manner.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in plant and departmental attainment of safety, quality, productivity, and financial goals Respond to all maintenance related requests with a prompt, professional, courteous, and willingness to help demeanor Troubleshoot, repair, and PM plant production equipment, systems, and facilities following all regulation guidelines, maintenance best practices and lessons learned Setup, installation, and commissioning of machinery to support inner plant moves and new launches Use, maintain, and manage the Maintenance CMM system for work orders and PM's  Support facilities maintenance and continuous improvement activities that may include fabrication, welding, lift truck use, and/or aerial lift use Attend and complete all required training necessary to ensure skill level growth as well as current compliance requirements from MIOSHA, NEC, JIC, and DNR Must perform job with acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and performance standards as outlined in plant policies, handbooks, and applicable work instructions Ability to be flexible in working traditional and non-traditional work hours, as required Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing environment, Automotive experience preferred Minimum of 3 years documented Industrial Maintenance Department experience Journeyman certification preferred but not required Ability to demonstrate an understanding of how job performance affects product quality Ability to work well with others and establish and maintain positive working relationships Ability to read, interpret, and prepare written reports, instructions, and procedures Ability to use computers for email and related Maintenance productivity software Ability to read and comprehend electrical prints, hydraulic schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams Ability to maneuver and adjust robot programming on primarily Fanuc, KUKA, and Panasonic robots in a robot welding and material handling setting Demonstrated understanding of machine electrical systems and basic troubleshooting procedures Experience in the use of fork trucks and aerial lift devices required

Working at elevated heights greater than ten feet with proper PPE (Example: working in a bucket truck, aerial lift device, ladder) Work in both hot and cold environments, and be on your feet for long periods of time With the use of proper PPE some tasks will require handling greases, lubricants, detergents, paints, solvents, and other industrial liquids With the use of proper PPE some tasks will require handling and servicing filters that contain weld dust, dirt, and general airborne contaminates Operate shop support power tools (roto-hammers, bandsaws, drill presses, welders) Use common hand tools (hammers, saws, screwdrivers, wrenches, and similar tools)
