The ideal candidate possesses a solid accounting background with experience in analyzing information within financial statements, preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations, and leading and mentoring teams. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Location:

This is a Hybrid role based out of McDonough, GA location, in accordance with the Millennium Lighting Flex schedule; 1-3 days office / remainder remote. 

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include reviewing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Duties and responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, assets, and liabilities. Specific responsibilities include the following:

  • Responsible for period-end close process, the general ledger, and monthly account reconciliations.

  • Prepare and/or approve month-end journal entries and assess reasonableness of information

  • Awareness of Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) compliance and preparation of IUC

  • Assist with internal audits and year-end external audits

  • Perform account analysis

  • Prepare and/or approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations on a timely basis

  • Identify and resolve significant variances

  • Support divisions, departments and Business Planning and Analysis team with GL research

  • Prepare documentation of accounting processes as required

  • Ensure that GL accounts are being utilized in accordance with corporate policy and GAAP

  • Become a subject matter expert on the GL system and close processes

  • Other Duties as assigned

  • Train, mentor and supervise assigned Staff Accountant(s)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Knowledge of US GAAP

  • 5-7+ years of accounting experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge of Oracle a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and staff

  • Ability to take ownership and be accountable for issue resolution

  • Highly organized, detail orientated and capable of multi-tasking

  • Self-motivated individual with great initiative and ability to work independently

  • Strong work ethic and the ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Pay Range:

$5,175.00 - $8,433.70

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
