Position Summary:
Responsible for planning and executing corporate and community events, overseeing philanthropic giving processes, and positively promoting the Kraus-Anderson brand to internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Community Giving
Oversee process for fielding donations requests, including internal committee and stakeholder engagement, appropriate communications with internal and external requestors, and document retention
KA Has Heart volunteerism program
Plan and execute at least 10 volunteer events each year, engaging with community partners and KA personnel to achieve goals for volunteerism and employee engagement
Assist key leaders with important volunteer events such as Hearts & Hammers, Habitat for Humanity, etc.
Fall Giving Campaign
Oversee KA’s annual all-company Fall Giving Campaign, including charity partner engagement, raffles/silent auctions/other fundraising activities, internal communications and promotion, and corporate matching program
KA Community Foundation
Plan and execute annual fundraising event(s) in order to comply with KA Community Foundation guidelines
External community relations event planning or coordination with external sources
Assist marketing department with:
KA Construction – clients and subcontractor partners
KA Realty – tenants and other partners
Assist with internal event planning when needed
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two – five years of experience in event planning, community relations/fund raising, HR, administration or other related field.
Demonstrated strong computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
Strong computer skills with website communication, social media and database systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Strong organizational skills, including attention to details.
Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging goals.
Ability to possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondences as needed. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to community partners, clients, and employees of the organization.
Other:
Valid Driver's License and ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
