Eaton Corporation Value Stream Manager in Nacogdoches, Texas

Eaton’s Power Systems Division is currently seeking a Value Stream Manager. This position is located at our plant in Nacogdoches, TX. Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates currently residing within the US/PR.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

The Value Stream Manager will join our Nacogdoches, TX site that has recently received a $100M investment to expand its facility. The VSM will be responsible for guiding the manufacturing team in achieving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost Out goals. They will coordinate manufacturing schedules and priorities within the production plan to satisfy customer requirements. In addition, they will direct application of capital and people resources to maximize operating efficiency and provide leadership to employees to ensure customer requirements are satisfied.

  • Proactively implement, promote and maintain a safe working environment, through diligence in accident prevention, near miss reporting, 8D investigations, equipment maintenance, and safety principles enforcement.

  • Meet or exceed product quality requirements using plant quality tools, including LPA, QAR, first piece approval, and audit processes. Deploys and reinforces quality expectations with Production Supervisors and production associates, with a focus on accountability.

  • Select, develop, and motivate product line personnel and resources to achieve established goals for safety, productivity, quality/scrap, cost, delivery, engagement, and profit.

  • Monitor product line staffing for best utilization of both direct and indirect labor.

  • Establish product line priorities as they apply to current product, standards and processes and monitor and improve general plant activities such as safety, 5S, lean initiatives, visual management, Eaton Business Systems, and communication/information systems.

  • Assists the Plant Manager in setting, communicating, and achieving department goals and objectives. Develops and maintains performance metrics as required to drive results, and analyze results as a tool for identifying and initiating process improvements.

  • Fully engages workforce and promotes personal accountability by identifying goals, empowering employees to drive decision making, fostering innovation and continuous learning, by providing ongoing feedback.

  • Drives continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements by utilizing problem solving tools such as Eaton Lean System, Six Sigma, and 5S.

  • Assists with capital project planning under the direction of the Plant Manager.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution

  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing methodology

  • Minimum of 2 years of management/supervisory experience
