Job Summary:

This position is accountable for the development and execution of on-going risk adjustment educational communications for the enterprise. The Program Communication Specialist will participate in drafting and producing materials, scheduling, attending and hosting project meetings in support of risk adjustment education and communication. This position will work to broaden the understanding of risk adjustment and its impact on different departments, the overall enterprise and the industry. This position will report to the Mgr, Risk Adjustment Operations who oversees the programs and content.Responsibilities:
  • Develop communications, programs, presentations, and other material to support the educational initiatives of the risk adjustment department.

  • Create programs and strategies to aid in the development of the risk adjustment department and advance enterprise wide knowledge of risk adjustment goals. (Programs are defined as cross-functional business initiatives to identify members with an HCC. i.e., chart pulling, provider education, IT enhancements, enrollment programs.)

  • Develop roadmaps and strategies to achieve risk adjustment department goals. Analyze business needs and develop strategies, analysis, and reporting to support the risk adjustment department.

  • Assist with developing and coordinating the risk adjustment education program, such as developing timelines, topics, and educational content; edit existing educational content as needed to fit target audiences.

  • Develop surveys or other feedback measures, distribute and receive feedback, and maintain responses to provide risk adjustment leadership with updates on areas of improvement and program success.

  • Collaborate across departments to understand business needs and gather information from key stakeholders; aggregate information and develop business-oriented creative content.

  • Collaborate with the internal communications department to ensure content is in alignment with company standards and policies.

  • Provide recommendations for improvement of presentations, programs, and other risk adjustment communications based on feedback and research of best-in-class processes.

  • Assist with developing and maintaining executive presentations, updates, and status reports to support needs of risk adjustment department leadership.

  • Maintain an understanding and knowledge of the risk adjustment process, including regulatory changes impacting the program.

Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.

  • Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in communication or health care field or relevant field.

Knowledge:
  • Project management skills.

  • Expert PowerPoint skills.

  • Strong Excel skills (Int.-Adv) strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to manage multiple projects through planning, organizing, and independently following logical priorities independently.

  • Ability to understand communication objectives, develop a framework on how to create the communication, and produce the deliverable.

  • Exhibit creative thinking.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to work and collaborate with various levels of the organization.

Travel:
  • Some travel may be required.

Salary Range:

$68,500 - $91,665

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
