About this role

Aftermarket and Services is one of Carrier’s strategic growth imperatives. We are in search of a Director of Aftermarket and Services Strategy to accelerate our transformation from a world-class product-centric company to one focused on creating value for our customers throughout the product lifecycle.

The Director of Aftermarket and Services Strategy, Light Commercial is a member of the sub-business unit senior leadership team and reports directly to the Managing Director, Light Commercial Solutions. This leader will work closely with AM&S leaders across the broader organization to drive critical priorities focused on increasing aftermarket parts capture, driving service attachment, enhancing digital/connected service offerings, and leading change management. We are looking for a high-energy, highly collaborative aftermarket athlete to join our team, lead the charge, and be the change in one of Carrier’s fastest growing segments.

P referred location Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, or Carrier hub locations. Remote opportunity will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Implement Strategy:

  • Develop and implement new strategies to re-imagine the add-on/ replacement HVAC go-to-market approach and further strengthen Carrier’s lifecycle value to the customer. Partner with product development, digital, engineering, sales and other functions to launch unique digitally enabled solution and service offerings.

  • Serve as the aftermarket champion on various governance committees responsible for evaluating and launching LCML digital solutions and services. Provide aftermarket insights and considerations to ensure that new products are designed, developed, and launched with aftermarket serviceability, support, and profitability in mind.

  • Foster collaboration and alignment with cross-functional teams, including replacement components division, Carrier Commercial Services, sales, marketing, product development, digital and engineering. Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure aftermarket strategies maximize value of insights and capabilities enabled by tiered offering of connected rooftop technology.

Own the Growth:

  • Track and drive revenue growth in the aftermarket segment through the execution of sales and marketing strategies through channel partners and direct strategic accounts. Identify opportunities to upsell aftermarket services, maintenance plans, and upgrades through existing channel customers and identify new customer segments.

  • Optimize digital solutions and service capabilities to expand LCML division’s total addressable market by redefining the existing channel strategy for both direct and indirect sales.

  • Identify and implement initiatives to enhance the customer experience, streamline service processes, and resolve customer issues promptly and effectively. Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements based on insights gathered.

  • Synthesize unstructured data (internal/external, qualitative/quantitative) to extract key insights

  • Present recommendations and report outcomes to executive leaders

  • Serve as an advisor and thought partner to business unit leaders on best practices related to AM&S

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10 + years combined work experience in strategy, sales, product management, marketing, Aftermarket and/or HVAC

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, both domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • Experience working in relevant industries, either directly or indirectly (including 2-step distribution and services)

  • Exposure to key Aftermarket parts and services concepts

  • Prior strategy consulting experience

  • Proven track record of leading and growing a successful aftermarket business, achieving sales and profitability goals, and delivering customer satisfaction

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP systems

  • Comfort working as an individual contributor – this role does not have direct reports
