Team Overview:

The successful candidate will join the Alternatives Client Services team in providing timely and accurate information to our clients and prospects that is consistent with the established BlackRock brand and messaging, as well as Transfer Agency oversight on our third-party providers. The Alternatives Client Services (ACS) team support all of BlackRock’s privately placed alternatives products, including hedge funds, fund of hedge funds, private credit, private equity, special opportunity and real asset funds. Responsibilities for this position will involve a heavy concentration in day-to-day communications, client onboarding, reporting and data entry focusing on BlackRock’s alternative product platform.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Coordinating client on-boarding, trade activity, fund launches, and data management with Transfer Agent.

  • Assisting and handling the document review process ensuring efficient processes are instituted and implemented while maintaining a consistent focus on the client experience. Eliminating rework loops and adhering to department standards.

  • Communicate onboarding status and progress to internal teams and escalate issues when necessary.

  • Liaison with clients and 3rd parties, fielding inquiries, researching requests, and coordinating appropriate responses with all relevant partners.

  • Leading and maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems. Ensure data integrity by updating and maintaining client information across all systems.

  • Coordinating cash flow management with clients and portfolio managers (e.g. subscriptions, redemptions, and product updates with clients / 3rd parties). Tracking and handling client cash flow activity within proprietary trading system.

  • Transfer Agent oversight and quality control. Work with our 3rd parties to create transparency between BlackRock and vendors and ensure a positive client experience.

  • Deliver a high-quality client experience to each client, ensuring that funds are launched in a timely manner, service requirements are met, and client satisfaction remains high.

  • Guiding team members as needed in successful completion of Alternative Client Support processes, deliverables and or improvements.

  • Find opportunities in processes or workflow to reduce operational risk and create scale.

You have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in financial services or investment management, with exposure to financial securities, private placements, and limited offerings preferred.

  • Basic understanding of Hedge Fund operations and structures.

  • Proven track record in a client-facing role, demonstrating the ability to manage client inquiries and build strong relationships.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing at all levels.

  • Attention to detail, ability to focus and follow through. Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to pivot quickly in response to changing business needs.

  • Self-motivated, dedicated, and capable of working well with strong personalities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Word and Excel.

  • Solid understanding of business operations, financial principles, and legal frameworks relevant to the role.

  • Skills for quickly understanding and applying complex concepts and procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as an integral member of a team.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop solutions to complex problems
