Job Purpose This position owns the inventory on-hand and in-transit for Rapid Recovery plant and network, and is able to influence, document, and manage inventory and maintain levels required on an ongoing basis to meet sales and operating demands, while ensuring accuracy of inventory dollars and units on-hand in relevant systems. The position may have direct reports when local company stores exist. Reports To Inventory Controller Primary Location of Work Rhome, TX Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and lead new quarterly cycle count process, including training of key operating personnel at the plant and across network locations Create and Establish standardized inventory processes, documented policies and procedures to be followed across all Rapid sites. Set cadence and accountability for ensuring standardized processes are adhered to. Lead fiscal calendar year-end inventory process, including oversight and management of plant personnel to successful, clean completion of these inventories, along with the capability to liaise with internal stakeholders (i.e. VP finance, inventory controller, plant manager) and external stakeholders (i.e. external auditors) on inventory results and implementation of appropriate follow-up measures Coordinate and execute complete and successful implementation of Cylinder inventory management system for 100% usage across all Rapid locations to ensure better tracking / management of inventory, and maintenance of accuracy / completion of inventory data in Sage Create and develop new internal control mechanisms / processes, as needed, to ensure inventory is properly safeguarded and fully accounted for in support of quarterly cycle count / year-end inventory process Reconcile inventory records to actual inventory on hand. Reconciliation to include conducting a paperwork audit, investigating variances, creating and implementing improvement plans as necessary Implement and follow a control system to reduce damage goods, communicate with network locations in order to write off damages. Serve as critical business partner to plant manager and other members of the operating team, providing ad-hoc support as it relates to inventory and other operating matters on daily basis Help lead deployment of SAP at site from an inventory perspective, and other critical system implementations and integrations as they arise; key and contributing member of workshops in support of these system deployments Ability to work independently and under limited supervision, while exercising quick decision making on the fly in support of meeting shared objectives for manufacturing operations and finance Manage local company store and supervise company store employees. Additional Supporting Responsibilities: Sage Lead documentation process of what product is present in all warehouses, both facility and external Manage and record other daily inventory movements, including blending activity Analyze production reports / ISO processing and resolve differences against other documentation (i.e. shift reports), including taking appropriate actions to resolve these differences Lead process of recording shipments of products from facility and transfers of product among other facilities Proper y and accurately value and record buyback / Refri-claim transactions Manage production adjustments as needed and with the proper documentation and approval Perform reconciliation of daily inventory movements against final SAGE balances, and following-up / driving appropriate investigative procedures with plant personnel as to why the variances Cylinder Tracking Lead administration and completion all warehouse transactions in CylTrak and SAGE including transfers in/out, shipments out and reconciliation to SAGE Train and assist personnel in CylTrak usage throughout operations as needed Ensure all shipments and receipts are recorded accurately in CylTrak before being entered in SAGE Perform reconciliation of CylTrak to SAGE on a weekly basis Oversee the Cycle Count Program using CylTrak and reconciling to SAGE Experience Essential College degree (BBA) or relevant experience in lieu of degree Previous experience in an inventory position or an accounting department function High attention to detail Moderate to Advanced Excel skills Moderate to Advanced mathematical skills Desirable SAGE ERP experience; SAP experience a plus Working knowledge of database applications and other systems Required Skills and Competencies Skills Excellent written and oral communications skills essential Capability to multi-task and manage various projects / tasks to completion under tight deadlines Ability to thrive in a high-growth and constantly changing environment Ability to work independently and under limited supervision, while exercising quick decision making on the fly in support of meeting shared objectives for manufacturing, operations, and finance Competencies Task and project Able to analyze problems and implement effective solutions Well organized with good attention to detail Uses time efficiently Team work and communication Able to work well within a team and build effective relationships, internally and with external customers Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms Maintains confidentiality Self-management and motivation Able to use own initiative to complete a task Confident, enthusiastic and a team player with a 'can do' attitude Adapts flexibly to new challenges and circumstances Has a style of working that fits with the SPOT ON values (Sense of Fun, Sense of Purpose, Professionalism, Leadership, Openness, Honesty, Trust, Respect) For more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
