Responsibilities

Housing Subsidy Coordinator is intended to assist people in enrolling, utilizing transition stipends, maintaining, and renewing their housing subsidy that is managed by the Community Services Department at Lifetime Assistance. The goal of the Housing Subsidy Coordinator is to help people secure and maintain safe housing of their choice. The Housing Subsidy Coordinator serves as the single point of access for people supported and their circle of supports for housing subsidies through the Self Direction and ISS Programs. The Housing Subsidy Coordinator maintains a caseload of Housing Subsidy and Fiscal Intermediary cases as assigned. The Housing Subsidy Coordinator also provides supervision and oversight of Agency staff completing Self-Direction Housing Subsidy budgets.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. One year of experience in a setting serving people with disabilities. Experience with supporting people with housing needs is preferred. Housing Subsidy Liaison should possess knowledge housing options in the surrounding towns/villages/cities; funding sources and asset regulations (i.e.: Medicaid, Social Security, subsidies, etc.); available community resources; rights and roles of the tenant and landlord and negotiations of lease. Must have a valid New York State Driver's License, a reliable and properly insured vehicle. Must meet Lifetime Assistance Vehicle Operator Requirements and agency standards.

Location: The office is located in Chili, NY. Occasional travel to community locations and homes is required. This position is eligible to apply for hybrid remote work after a successful introductory period.
