Registered Veterinary Technician - Emergency and Critical Care

We're proud to feature a team of twelve Emergency doctors and a skilled veterinary team, all dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and fostering strong client relationships. Our emergency and critical care team operates on a foundation of teamwork and offers a full range of services. 

We are looking for experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our team!

As an ER Technician, you will play a crucial role in partnering with our ER Doctors, providing top-notch customer experiences, and delivering outstanding patient care. 

Your day-to-day tasks will involve: 

  • Triaging incoming patients and managing clients throughout their visit 

  • Partner with DVM’s in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures 

  • Obtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates 

  • Utilize different modalities of imaging for patient assessment 

  • Executing, monitoring, and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic events

  • You have a strong foundational understanding and can perform the basic responsibilities of a veterinary technician including (but not limited to):

  • Venipuncture 

  • Placing IV Catheters 

  • Drug Calculations 

  • Administration of Medications (IV or other methods) 

  • Taking Vitals 

  • Gathering Medical History 

Qualifications: 

  • 1-year veterinary practice experience as a technician. 

  • Competency in performing procedures, surgical preparation and monitoring of patients, performing laboratory testing, exam room workups, client education on wellness/preventative medicine, and assisting doctors in patient care. 

  • Must be able to lift 30+ pounds, kneel, bend, and restrain active animals. 

  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a high-volume, busy practice. 

  • Ability to prioritize effectively and proactively problem-solve, good attention to detail. 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Competency in computer data entry and basic record keeping. 

  • Desire to work Full-Time. 

  • Have a love for animals and the people who love them. 

Shifts: 

  • 3 x 12h shifts daytime, swing, and overnight. 

Compensation based on skillset/credentials: 

  • Credentialed Technician (RVT) or equivalent experience range: $26—$32/hr. 

  • Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) range: $31—$40/hr. 

  • Non-Credentialed Veterinary Technician (VA) range: $18-26 

  • Overnight differential $25/shift
