Microsoft Corporation Principal Product Manager in Suzhou, China

We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal Product Manager to join our SharePoint and OneDrive Experiences team. In this role, you will lead the strategy, vision, and execution of product initiatives that leverage the latest technologies, including AI, to enhance collaboration, content management, and productivity for millions of users. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver intelligent and intuitive solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers worldwide and drive measurable business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and articulate a clear product strategy and vision for SharePoint and OneDrive Experiences, aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

  • Roadmap Planning and Execution: Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market research, and competitive analysis. Drive the execution of the product roadmap to deliver high-impact outcomes and meet key milestones.

  • User Experience Design: Champion user-centric design principles and ensure that product experiences are intuitive, accessible, and delightful for users. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create compelling user interfaces and workflows.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to align on product priorities, requirements, and go-to-market strategies. Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability to drive successful product launches and adoption.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics, user research, and market insights to inform product decisions and measure the impact of product initiatives. Continuously monitor key performance metrics and iterate on product features to drive improvements.

  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and senior leadership. Effectively communicate product plans, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and solicit feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of delivering successful software products or services.

  • Deep expertise in product management methodologies, including Agile/Scrum, Lean Startup, and Design Thinking.

  • Strong technical acumen and familiarity with cloud technologies, collaboration platforms, and productivity tools (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft 365).

  • Work experience in companies that developed or implemented similar products (SharePoint/OneDrive) is highly desirable.

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform product decisions and drive business impact.

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Passion for innovation, user experience design, and delivering exceptional customer value.

  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills to support the growth and development of junior team members.

  • Prior experience in the enterprise software or SaaS industry is highly desirable.

  • Oversea experience for study or work is highly desirable.

  • Fluent English verbal/written communication skills are required. Also fluent in Chinese verbal/written communications is highly desirable.

  • Delivered strategic product keynote/sessions at major conferences is highly desirable.

  • Active social media presence as a key influencer or product evangelist in the industry is highly desirable.
