Microsoft Corporation Principal Product Manager in Tallinn, Estonia

We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative Principal Product Manager who is passionate about Engineering Excellence, highest standards, and best practices for a real-time communication service. In this role you will define the vision and strategy of how Teams and Skype common code can benefit from improving the processes and guidelines for development, test, rollout and more. You will execute that vision by working with the signaling, audio, video, and networking teams where you will be responsible for translating the requirements into specifications and prioritize based on the ROI. You will also work across organizations to establish a test strategy which ensures we release a bug-free product to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Engineering Excellence strategy that includes improving rollout processes, building tools for automation, expand test coverage, and more, to ensure bug-free product releases.

  • Define goals and metrics to measure improvements.

  • Represent the Engineering Excellence initiatives with our leadership team.

  • Leverage your superb interpersonal skills to collaborate and execute with a diverse team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to come up-to-speed quickly on a new technical domain.

  • Self-motivated and curious with a growth mindset, with the ability to structure complex problems and think creatively.

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree AND experience in product/service/project/program management or software developmento OR equivalent experience.

  • Technology experience with audio/video technologies preferably in the real-time communications industry either in development or product management.
