Primary Function

The CAD Operator (Solidworks) will revise items, bills of material, drawings of fabricated, assembled and or purchased parts, as well as service parts per Product Change Process utilizing the company PLM system. Operate computer‑aided design (CAD) system and peripheral equipment to accomplish working task. Drawings will be designed using 3D techniques when applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a team member within the CAD Department and other departments to create or alter drawings per Product Change Process.

  • Develop/Understand 3rd party software needed on daily task

  • Understands policies and procedures within the department for assigning part numbers, relining bills of material, revising drawings and working Product Change Processes while utilizing the company PLM system.

  • Work with engineering personnel to ensure correct part numbering assignment and ensure drawings are in accordance with drafting standards.

  • Use measuring devices to check or create manufactured and/or purchased parts.

  • Possess good working knowledge of Windows platform and understands basic windows commands and had a good understanding of windows file system.

  • Understands and demonstrated company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Engineering Graphics, Engineering Design, or related field

  • 1+ years of related work experience or training

  • Basic fundamentals of 3D modeling (preferably SolidWorks)

  • Understanding of data management or PLM preferred.

  • Understanding of how CAD models are built

  • Understand design content

  • Possess good working knowledge of the Windows platform and understands basic windows commands and has a good understanding of windows file system.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as, Engineering Change Request, Red lines, ANSI standards, operating and maintenance instructions, corporate rules and regulations as well as departmental procedures.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to effectively prioritize projects and meet deadlines

Based out of our Lebanon office, this role is eligible to participate in our hybrid work program, which allows employees to work remotely up to two days per week. New employees in eligible roles can apply for this program after successfully completing their initial 90 days of employment
