Co-op ASIC Digital Design and Verification Engineer

Job Description

Temporary full time (40 hours/week) Co-op/Intern position for 16 weeks from September 3 to December 20, 2024.

To assist the team at our Ottawa location we are looking for a Co-op ASIC Digital Design and Verification Engineer who will work on the development of state-of-the-art high-speed serial interconnect and memory interface integrated circuits. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the design and/or verification of our next generation products by taking on well-defined tasks under the mentorship of our engineers. You will gain experience with one or more of:

• Digital design tools, methodologies, and best practice

• Digital verification tools, methodologies, and best practices

• Automated data processing to bridge between tools

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

• Desire to explore ASIC design and verification as a potential career path

• Good academic standing

• Object oriented coding skills

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Fast learner who enjoys new challenges

• Positive attitude

Experience with the following is an asset:

• Verilog/SystemVerilog

• HVL methodology such as UVM, or design flows from RTL to synthesis

• Software development/engineering

• Scripting in Python, Tcl, bash, etc, and Unix command-line utilities

Students in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering or Sciences
